While Halo is a continuous diagnostics solution, sometimes it can go offline. The node is the component responsible for data transfer between the End points (sensors) and the server. Read about Halo IIoT - How it works for further information.
Environmental factors can cause the node to stop communicating, including:
- Weak cellular connectivity (cellular router)
- Loss of Wi-Fi connection: Distance from router / access point, wireless interference
- Power outage
If a Node is having trouble communicating with the server, follow these steps:
First, identify the Node in the physical location.
If you know its name or the machines linked to it, you'll find the Node within ~15ft (50m) from those machines. To be 100% sure, verify its Serial Number or IP address matches a sticker on the Node's blue case. Format and location of the sticker may vary between models. Look for it on the front, back of side of the Node's case.
