The Halo system has to have a sufficient internet connection to pass the data from the endpoints to the cloud platform. Our node will connect to a network at the facility.
The node has three potential ways to connect to the internet:
Facility WiFi:
If a facility has a strong enough wifi network to connect directly to, that is the preferred method.
In this scenario, you will only need to install the nodes, mount the endpoints, and configure them using our installation app to complete the installation.
To use this method, there are a few steps the IT team at the facility would need to complete post site survey, and pre-installation for the node to connect successfully over the site’s wifi. At the time of installation, this should be complete, If the nodes fail to connect, a misstep in the pre-work is most likely the cause. In this case, please reach out to the Logistics and Support team at Augury for additional support to complete the installation.
Facility Ethernet Connection:
We can also access the facility’s network connection through an ethernet port.
Augury Provided Cellular Router:
The most common internet connection is provided by Augury and configured during installation. This is where Augury provides a cellular router to broadcast an Augury Cellular network for the nodes to connect to.
Based on the site survey determinations, Augury will ship cellular routers to the site prior to the installation date.
The routers will come with the appropriate SIM cards for the network with the best connectivity.
You will need to assemble the routers, configure them to broadcast Augury’s network, place them in an enclosure box, and mount them on site.
*Note: If possible, it is best to assemble and configure the routers before you start the installation on site. (This will make the process faster and smoother on site during the installation, but it is still possible to complete the entire process on site as well.)
