Process - Setting Up the New Node
- Supply power to the Node
- Sign in to the Halo Installation App
* Make sure that the location permissions are allowed for use by the Halo app!
- Navigate to the Installed Tab
- Click Add Node
- The App will search for nearby nodes that are on and connected to the network and will display the new node serial number shortly
- Select the relevant node and fill in the information requested - Keep in mind the node name cannot be the same, so use a variation such as "replacement" in the Node name
- Click Activate Node
- You can just mount the Node using your professional judgment on the best mounting method to affix the mounting plate to the appropriate location.
Process - Replacing the Node in the Halo Installation App
- Navigate to the node that is being replaced in the Halo Installation App
- Click on the three dots to the right of the name
- Click Replace
- Choose the name of the newly created node
- Click Continue
- Those machines are now linked to the new node
- Validate the status that the endpoints are linking to the new node and sending data
Process - Deleting the Old Node Out of The Halo Installation App
Why is this necessary? If you leave the old node in the app, it will continue to show up on the nods remediation reports. Please don't do this until you have verified the new node is connected to the endpoints and sending data correctly.
- Navigate to the old node in the Halo Installation App
- Click on the three dots to the right of the name
- Click Delete
- Confirm the deletion
