How to Star ☆ Machines for MH CR + MH SE

Description:

When you “star” machines in the Augury Machine Health platform, you mark them as important. This helps you and your team remember to look at them later. 

The star feature enhances planning capabilities and users leverage it in various ways. This includes:

1. Highlighting machines to be discussed in more detail with your Augury RSM or CSM 
2. Elevating highly critical machines or assets that require special attention 
3. Designating machines that require maintenance activity or further investigation 

The Star ☆ feature functions differently for Machine Health Critical (MH CR) and Machine Health for Supporting Equipment (MH SE). Learn more below:

Star a machine monitored by MH CR: 

1. Access the Star ☆ feature on the Machine Page


2. Click the Star ☆ to have the machine appear under the ‘Starred Machines’ selector in the Machines to Notice Dashboard. Machines will remain under the ‘Starred Machines’ selector until the star is removed. 

Star a machine monitored by MH SE:

In place of the Machine Health Index Scores that’s available for MH CR equipment, MH SE enables users to determine the severity of the asset’s condition with multiple star options.

1. Access the Star ☆ feature on the Machine Page

2. Click on the Star ☆ to select the most appropriate color based on the machine’s condition. Users will leverage data provided by Augury and other observations to determine which condition is most appropriate. 

a. Monitor: Select the Monitor Star ☆ to indicate lower priority machines 
b. Alarm: Select the Alarm Star ☆ to indicate medium priority machines 
c. Danger: Select the Danger Star ☆ to indicate the highest priority machines 
d. Add additional context in this field to explain why the star was selected and other relevant information 

3. Starred machines will  appear under the ‘Starred Machines’ selector in the MH SE section on the Machines to Notice Dashboard. Machines will remain under the ‘Starred Machines’ selector until the star is removed.
